Books are hard to sell; trust me as a two-time NY Times best-selling author I speak with some authority on this subject. Guy Kawasaki sold me a book, with his review, I wasn’t really sure that I cared to read. He showed the picture you see and he provided fifteen excerpts from Founders at Work by Jessica Livingston to make the sale. So couldn’t I have read a little bit of it in a book store or online? Weren’t there other reviews? Sure, but only if I already had the time or inclination. I respect and admire Mr. Kawasaki, so his enthusiastic endorsement was important but the picture, that was the $$$ shot for me.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we (all of us) always received such wonderful endorsements for our products and services?

Jeff I would have ordered the book anyway of your reco. The necessary enlarging of the photo quickly brought a grin to my face because all my books are adorned like this. A second thought was how can I produce images like this that make it instantly obvious to my customers they need/want what I am providing. Surprising at least one man’s Broca with a photo, nice!

The visual is intriguing and speaks volumes. But I agree with Bill, your recommendation is the catalyst here…. just as Guy’s recommendation was the catlyst for you.
