New Look for AdSense Means Better Ad Performance

This is good news for some, bad news for others.

For those who are serious about ROI and conversion rate optimization, this is a gigantic net positive as you’ll both get more traffic and be better able to convert it.

But if you’re one of the many with wimpish conversion rates, hopelessly addicted to high-volume traffic to maintain growth, then your ad budget just got bigger–and you’re slowly falling victim to traffic cost inflation.

Looks like it’s time to get serious about landing page optimization. While those new AdSense clicks will cost you, many of the tools needed to maximize ROI are little to no cost.

There are no more excuses.

Just yesterday, Google announced Google Website Optimizer, which is FREE. Here are some other free resources to get you started.

If you’re going to spend so much on AdSense, doesn’t it make sense to start improving the performance of pages visitors land on once they click-through?
