You are correct Ian, he is using HBX now. He is also using Revenue Science to retarget those who arrive to his homepage (other pages did not have any code). I found this interesting blogged how Presidential candidates can use BT. You can read it at http://webanalysis.blogspot.com/2007/03/presidential-candidates-and-behavioral.html

I am going to investigate this further and see where I am going to be retargeted since I visited his home page.

I've seen a couple different articles on web analytics implementation for the candidates over the past few weeks and find it interesting that most of them get John McCain's site wrong. Most articles say his site doesn't use anything. At the time I checked after seeing the first article his site was using Sawmill. I just check again now after seeing this post and can see he dropped Sawmill and switched to WebSideStory.

Romney isn't the only one investing in analytics. We should keep a time line of when the others decide to invest more in understanding their audience better.

Do you know if any of the are investing in persuasion architecture? I think knowing that would be interesting too. ;)
