By Howard Kaplan

Apparently, Verizon Wireless doesn’t always keep up with GrokDotCom. (Bryan recently explained the impact of optimizing your images for a fast load time. )

I’d just logged in to pay my bill, and what did I notice?

Kinda hard to pay your bill when the “login” button never shows up, eh?

  1. Howard-
I questioned the same thing last week as I sat down to pay my bills. Verizon, Best Buy, and on and on. Questions arose. First, does it really matter? I owe them money, they know it, the service is good, does this tailend part-of-the-deal frustrate me enough to change? Yes, it still matters.
Then, am I just to picky about what I know is out there (ie. FutureNow!)? Yes and No. At times, I’m concerned that the perfection I seek is too much. Then I get back on the web and remind myself there are a lot of sub-par web designers out there.
Finally, unfortunately, I remember my money is power. Choices right? Sooner or later, with me or without, I hope they take notice.

This happened at least 10 times before I just gave up.

The other nice bonus was that their check for availablility link says my home is not eligible for Fios despite the fact that several of my neighbors already have it and I watched them tear up the sidewalk in front of my house to install the fiber.

It was enough to make me question the sanity of wanting to do business with a company so disinterested in providing information about said service.
