Scooped… With Only Five Spots Left
Bryan and I have offered to perform a live 1-hour evaluation on each of a dozen websites. Some of those will be B2B lead generation, some will be B2C brick-and-mortar retailers and some will be online e-tailers. It is part of the most comprehensive 3-day seminar we offer, Wizards of Web (December 12-14), that we teach only at the non-profit Wizard Academy.
Last year we drew 142 people, standing room only, to the seminar. The money we raised helped complete the construction of Engelbrecht House.
Would you like your website to be one of those 12? We haven’t done any promotion yet. Nevertheless, mostly by word of mouth, seven spots are already taken and Roy Williams scooped us in today’s memo where he is not too loudly promoting the course by giving away an 8-page paper “The 7 Big Questions of Highly Effective Online Marketing“.

We launched our site on April 20, 2007. So far we’ve done over $170k in sales but we know we can do much better.

We’re an industrial distributor of metalworking tools that is catalog/web based (with a pick-up counter in Brooklyn that may or may not categorize us as having a brick and mortar presence).
The website is direct web commerce rather than b to b lead generation. We’d love to be analyzed.

Hey,
I have had 4 classes in Austin, and really grown my business! If this were any time of year other than 2 weeks before Christmas I would be there at twice the price! I have read call to action and WFYCTB. I would LOVE to be there, but last year I did 20% of my annual sales between the 10th and 24th of December. It would be shear stupidity for me to be there.
Repeat some other time? Streaming participation remotely? Special deal for a specail AcadGrad?
