Robert asked me to come over and comment here, as we've been having a spirited discussion on my blog about this. I used this post as the latest example of what we can call, for lack of a better word, as a general male bias on A/influence lists. I have some fairly strong opinions on the subject, which you can follow at http://tinyurl.com/2wjqhd

Robert asked me to make some suggestions for additions, and as I commented on my own blog, I "don't do lists" too well. That said, I urge you all to check out Kami Huyse of Communication Overtones http://overtonecomm.blogspot.com/ and Ike Pigott of Occam's RazR http://occamsrazr.com/ for generally solid and consistent communications thinking.

"Sorry PR people: you're blocked" was an absolute classic. As a person who takes the time to actually research and write journalists, it is lame to think that PR people think they can spam editors and not expect some sort of lashback

Excellent post! We're quickly approaching a new history that will allow all people to participate...or at least those of us with basic internet service. ;-)
My favorite blog post of the year is not earth shattering nor newsworthy, it's just a clever idea about a creative writing student getting people to buy him a drink in exchange for listening to and publishing their stories on his blog:
