When was the last time you left a supermarket without buying anything? Did you find the exit? Did you push through the checkout line? Supermarkets
Remember “from the comfort of your own home!” As the differentiator of e-tailers? Problem is, its just as comfortable in twenty minutes, tomorow or the next day. When you’re in the baby shampoo section of the supermarket- you’re already there. Convenient now, not convenient in twenty minutes while you’reon your way home.
First it’s seo/ppc & getting people toyour site. Then its getting them to convert. Supermarkets are two steps ahead. Once you walk in the door, you’ve converted 99% of the time. They are worried about Value per conversion.
