Stop stereotyping your customers! There is a growing population of progressively disabled women and moms. I am one of them. Most marketing doesn't acknowledge the needs of women in wheelchairs with all of the related day-to-day issues.

We have a few clients that focus on a mainly female audience. That book could be very interested.

Stop stereotyping your customers! I can't wait to read this book. I am soccer MOM! And a coach. And I am nowhere near athletic. Not even close. That would be me on the cover of your book - wearing fab red pumps to a game. But alas, it is not very practical, is it? So when I show up wearing Adias shorts and a hoddie, I'd rather not. However I'd do anything for my kids, so when the little league needs a coach I step up to the plate. In joggers. Eeewww.

Stop stereotyping your customers. Especially "the first ten" are winners stereotype. End numerical stereotype profiling today and give away just one more book. Doesn't even have to be to me. :)

Oops! One of the Stereotypes might just be right--I did not proof my comments well enough to see that I had left out a very important word. "Although * am a 68 year old woman on Medicare, I am NOT
sick NOR taking lots of medicines". Sorry for the editing slip.

Holly, congratulations on the new book. I so agree with your plea "to stop stereotyping your customers"!

I am a retired woman, mother of 3, none of whom ever played soccer; but also the grandmother of 4, 2 of whom did play soccer and had my daughter driving them to countless soccer games. However, my daughter would not refer to herself as a "soccer mom" and would not respond to a marketing campaign aimed at the same.

But I must mention the fact that as a retired woman I constantly have marketing aimed at me that is so based on incorrect stereotypes. Although I am a 68 year old woman on Medicare, I am sick and taking lots of medicines. Although I am retired, I am not wealthy and spending my time as a snow-bird. Although I am an elder, I am not looking to "find" things to fill my time as I am an Internet Marketing Entrepreneur and learning things about computers that even my grandchildren don't know. Although my body has changing and still changing, I am not in the market for creams, pills, cosmetic surgery and other "anti-aging" products.

So you can see that I can down on all sides of your plea. Keep up the good work!

STOP STEREOTYPING YOUR CUSTOMERS!

I am just starting an online business and most of my customers I expect to be female. This book should help with the target marketing I wish to do.

I have been stereotyped to no end. I have been snuffed at car dealerships as a woman (including one st*pid sales guy who actually told me I couldn't afford what I was looking at so he wasn't going to waste his time - hmmm...does the phrase from Pretty Woman - big mistake - HUGE mistake mean anything? I went to another dealer, bought two vehicles and we drove them back to show the salesman - talk about a jaw hitting the floor - oh, what fun!). I want to yell to the world - "STOP STEREOTYPING YOUR CUSTOMERS!!!!"
Never, ever, ever, ever judge a book by its cover - the customer that doesn't fit your own personal idea of a customer might just cost you a HUGE sale and repeat customer.

Holly, love all your posts! Even in the car business your message of "Stop stereotyping your customers" is bang on.

Women don't want special treatment. They just want good treatment reflective of the individuals they are.

Bummer being post #17, but difficult to make a timely blog post from an airplane.
