Its interesting what gets passed off as “enterprise” quality these days. The term enterprise has gone from a quality measurement to a marketing measurement and I’m afraid it’s meaning has been diluted. =(

Google’s new “enterprise” tools are a prime example. What really did these tools add for the enterprise market?

Hi,

thanks for such a nice post. I would like to know when the analytics api will be released so that I can display site statistics on my website. Is there any way to signup for the beta version?I tried logging into my account but I couldn’t see any option to sign up. Please let me know as it will be very useful!! Thanks!

I also, love the motion charts!! However, it would be very helpful to allow the user to add notes so there is context behind the data that is stored and available for reference at any time.

I’m always skeptical about campaign reporting and Ad Sense owned by the same company….sort of the fox guarding the hen house!

Otherwise, GA is a nice analytics tool that continues to improve and is nice for small to mid-size businesses. However, not quite as useful when you have to manage large multi-national portfolios.

I’m really glad about the adsense integration. This really helps small-time publishers with optimizing they ads, and really adding more value.

I’ll be trying out the new enterprise features, getting ready for the growth of my client base, whilst not quite needing the features now.

I think Google Analytics gives the best statistics on the web. Integration with Google AdSense will really improve performance and it’s profitability

Peter Rack, your closing statement implies that Google Analytics is worthless. Now even before these new features were rolled out, GA was very good. Now having had hands-on experience with the new tools, I believe it is a truly robust web analytics solution, and think the team have once again outdone themselves.

Nice to see that they managed to integrate their Gapminder purchase in a nice way.

Well, Google will remain Google! Yes very visual but who in their right set of mind would trust a company that charges its customers for adwords and then measures the results? And how long will they last offering a free solution when their advertising business goes down in flame! It is a free solution and it is worth what you have to pay for it!

Hi Bryan – Really great news this morning about the new Google Analytics feature set. The advanced segmentation feature and the report builder tool look amazing. The team really pushed the envelope. I hope to get access to those features in some of my accounts soon.
