Get Elastic’s recent post on reducing friction kicks butt – providing incredibly clear explanations of too-common Website flaws along with great examples of how to do it right. I wish I wrote it. Not only did the article reduced me to green-faced envy, but many of the post’s links pointed to further “must reads.”

Excellent resource – thanks for posting.
And I really like the concept of “friction” – much more evocative than calling them problems or issues.

Great article you linked to, thanks for sharing that.
I agree with Ian, and think the ‘friction’ concept is better even that ease-of-use, which is much more difficult to conceptualize.

What I like about “Friction” as a term (instead of “Usability”) is that it clearly implies motivation or Persuasion as a complimentary issue – something that’s very important to keep in mind.
