We’re working on completely rewriting the content on our website but several people noticed this and have asked about the new OnTarget(TM) for Google Analytics. OnTarget is now using Google Analytics’ Data Export API.
Here are other apps besides OnTarget that are using Google Analytics’ Data Export API.
Here is OnTarget for Google Analytics:
OnTarget provides full optimization, testing, and improvement cycle recommendations on how to improve goals online and increase conversions from marketing campaigns. Clients determine how many resources can be devoted towards optimization each month. FutureNow’s analysts deliver a to-do list of suggested improvements matched to client goals via the OnTarget interface. These changes are tracked using Google Analytics and the impact is fed directly into the next round of ensuing recommendation.
We’ll be announcing lots of cool new features and soon you’ll see specialized OnTarget for Retail and OnTarget for Lead Geneartion products. Just stay tuned…same bat time..same bat channel.

What will the specialized products mean for existing clients?

None. Existing clients are already being treated this way. The purpose of this is simply to simplify the product offering.

Have you ever set up Google Website Optimizer in a Yahoo store?
Were you successful?
Thanks.

Setting up GWO consists simply of adding some javascript tags to the target pages — There’s nothing “special” about yahoo stores which makes them any easier or harder to set up GWO than any other site.
The issue, as always, is knowing the right stuff to test, and combining that with enough experience with optimization to know how to construct the experiment properly with GWO.

And I thought I found the Google Analytics panel very complicated. I once tried setting up a nice lead generation campaign on Analytics……thank God it didn’t go live. Might have lost my shirt and my pants!!

What is not to like about GA? I mean it is not perfect but I sure think it is far superior to anything else out right now when you look at the big picture.
