Conversion Conference: The Training Wheels Are Off

May 11th, 2010

conversion_conf_logo_vert_156x55Some Grok readers have been asking for a “wrap-up” post about the first ever Conversion Conference.  I won’t attempt any sort of journalistic ‘coverage’ of the session contents, since I was at our booth most of the time and only made it to a few presentations.

Instead, I’ll give a few impressions about the conference in general and what I think it might mean for our emerging industry, and for businesses who are thinking about Optimization in the near future.

Before…

FutureNow’s “Best Of” List from SES 2009 San Jose

August 17th, 2009

ses09_logoBryan and I had the honor of attending and speaking at this year’s Search Engine Strategies Conference in San Jose. The amount of blogging and tweeting going on during the conference was phenomenal, so we won’t attempt to “cover” what went on.

Instead, we’d like to present our brief “Best Of” List so you can get some quick highlights from our (somewhat biased) perspective:

Here we go…

Best Presentation: “How to Turn Your Web Analytics into a Money Making Machine.” Bryan Eisenberg, Avinash Kaushik, Jim Sterne, and…

Maybe? But today, January 27, 2009 at 12PM EST, you can join me and the rest of the MarketMotive Master Certification Faculty at a live web event – a unique offering, even by Market Motive standards.

The description of this final project–a live panel review gauntlet–reads like a wild fusion between American Idol, a PhD dissertation defense, and a lightning-round news roundtable show.  Candidates will vie for faculty endorsements under the scrutiny of a live audience and a few surprise marketing…

Survival Training For Shrinking Marketing Budgets

November 3rd, 2008

In the dark days of the dot-bomb crisis many companies asked us to train their staff. That’s a big part of how we built our reputation for helping companies achieve extraordinary conversion rate results with less resources. We conducted custom training programs ranging from 3 hours to 3 days that weren’t on our regular menu of services. We helped lots of companies survive and it still makes us proud.

Bryan and I want to make sure that you not only survive but…

Scooped… With Only Five Spots Left

October 8th, 2007

Bryan and I have offered to perform a live 1-hour evaluation on each of a dozen websites. Some of those will be B2B lead generation, some will be B2C brick-and-mortar retailers and some will be online e-tailers. It is part of the most comprehensive 3-day seminar we offer, Wizards of Web (December 12-14), that we teach only at the non-profit Wizard Academy.
